TMNT Tribute- Michelangelo

My latest tribute that I was planning on posting at the beginning of the New Year (then illness happened), it's a dedication to a franchise that I loved as a kid, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. With the newest series out on Nick, I found myself to fall in love with the franchise all over again and wanted to make at least the turtles in my style.

First up is Michelangelo. My 'version' of Mikey makes him the more daring, stunt-driven, spunky turtle of the group.The latest series has him as more of a punchline to the series and that doesn't really work for me. I like the idea of having Mikey the first to try out new gear that Donatello makes and Mikey would be the most optimistic of the four as well.

With my picture of Mikey, I have him a bit scuffed up (for all of the failed stunts he's pulled) and posing on his skateboard. I like the idea of Mikey having a 'bag of tricks' as well, full of random ninja gear, along with smoke bombs to make a quick getaway.

I do plan on making the rest of the turtles and however I feel at the end of the turtles, I might make Splinter, April, etc. This pic did take me a bit longer than anticipated, but I thoroughly enjoy the end results.
